Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Permits Central, operated by [Legal entity name — to be provided], [Business address — to be provided] (“Permits Central”, “we”). By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them.

1. The service

Permits Central monitors official government building-permit sources in supported markets, organizes newly published permit records and presents them to contractors as opportunities. Markets are sold individually; availability depends on validated source data.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your password confidential and are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for one person or business and may not be shared or resold.

3. Pricing and billing

• Core is $149 per month per market; Pro is $249 per month per market. Each market is a separate subscription.
• Subscriptions renew monthly until canceled. Your payment method is charged automatically at the start of each monthly period.
• Upgrades from Core to Pro take effect immediately and charge the prorated difference for the rest of the current period. Downgrades from Pro to Core take effect at the end of the current period.
• Prices may change with advance notice before your next renewal.

4. Cancellation and refunds

Canceling stops your next renewal. You’ll continue to have access through the end of your current paid billing period. Payments already made for the current billing period are not prorated upon cancellation. Subscription fees already paid for the current billing period are not prorated or automatically refunded when a subscription is canceled. Access remains available through the end of the paid billing period. Canceling one market does not affect your other markets or delete your account.

5. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we and our payment processor may retry it. Access to the affected market may be suspended until payment succeeds, and the subscription may end if payment is not resolved.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, misuse data, or create security or legal risk. You may close your account at any time.

7. Acceptable use

Use permit information lawfully and for legitimate business research. You may not scrape, bulk-redistribute or resell the service or its data; attempt to access other customers’ data or bypass plan limits; or use the information to harass property owners or to contact anyone in violation of telemarketing, anti-spam, do-not-call or privacy laws.

8. Public permit data

Permit information originates from public government sources. See the Data Disclaimer. We do not guarantee that data is complete, accurate, current, or that any source remains available. A permit does not guarantee that a project proceeds, becomes a job for you, or that a property owner wants to be contacted by contractors.

9. Intellectual property

The software, design, organization, scoring and classifications are owned by Permits Central. Underlying public records remain public. Your notes and saved items are yours and private to your account.

10. Changes to the service

We may add, change or remove features, markets or sources. If a market you pay for stops being available, we will tell you and stop renewing it.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Permits Central is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages or lost profits, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the affected market in the three months before the claim.
