Permits Central organizes public permit information to help contractors identify construction activity. A permit record is not a request for an estimate, a guaranteed job, or a guarantee that the listed project will proceed.
Where the data comes from
Permit information originates from public government sources such as city and county permit portals and open-data sites. Each market page names its official source.
What varies by jurisdiction
- Different jurisdictions publish different fields; some never publish valuation, contractor or applicant details.
- Publication timing varies, and not every source updates daily. Each market shows its actual update cadence.
- Agencies may correct, delay, reclassify or remove records after publication.
What we do — and don’t — guarantee
Permits Central collects, deduplicates, normalizes and classifies records, but cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of government-source data or that a source stays available.
What a permit record means
- It does not necessarily mean work has begun.
- It does not mean the property owner requested contact from contractors.
- It is business intelligence about construction activity, not a guaranteed lead or job.
Verify important information independently, including with the issuing agency, before relying on it.
